The only thing I see wrong with this picture is that I would love to have seen a wider version, more of it. It is a very lovely picture with a lot of texture to it. I like the way that it starts out dark at the bottom and as I raise my head to the top I can see the golden sun peeking above the horizon in all its bronze glory! I'm just starting out with photography so I don't really know to much about all the ins and outs of the processes, but the picture is very beautiful! Thank you for sharing.

I was blown away by this amazing HDR work.  I can see no presence of tell-tale halos above those mountains (where they would be in a bad HDR composition) and the colours and detail are just right!  Can I ask what program you used to actually generate the HDR image?

Thanks so much. :)
For this shot I used Photomatix pro. :)

Actually for 3 shot hdrs, HDR Efex 2 is better or even photoshop, I never use anything but default to put images together, I find that many of the hdr options has a tendency to destroy pixels and add more noise than wanted.
So i just put them together and use programs like Lightroom and Photoshop for the final fixes.

What makes HDR efex 2 better than photomatix?

In the case of 3 or less images it is better, the algorythm for putting together the big features in an image vs the small is better, hence it takes a bit longer to put it together.
But when it comes to more than 3 Photomatix is the king. :)
