As the aurora season is coming to a close up here, and the bad weather lately hasnt really permitted much northern lights photage, I thought It was due to post what I think is the best image I have captured of the season. ( shot at the 14. of november during the sickest aurora night I have evern witnessed ).
I based the edit on the poll I posted about which colors is most pleasing to look at, so this is edited with very cold temperature to bring out the blues in this.

Shot with nikon d800, iso 1600, 14 mm, 6 seconds exposure. Shot in sørkjose, troms county, northern norway.

Originality Technique
ImpactYou did a great job with the composition of the picture! Although the sky takes up more room than the mountains/water, I still believe this fits very well, as the sky and space are enormous!
I especially like the editing in this picture; it's very well done and smooth, and the variety of hues blend in well, giving me a sense of unity and balance. I like how you chose cool colors, as they give me a relaxed and almost dreamy sort of feel!
However, I do find the tree on the beach a little distracting, as I immediately glance at that before looking up at the sky, but it's not too big of a deal, to be honest. I actually think it causes me to compare the wonders of space with the things we have on earth!
