Sun creating rays of light inbetween the clounds on a beautiful day. Shot using the 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 vr and Hoya ND X400 9 stop filter, color edited, sharpened and had to do a bit of spot removal as the sensor wasnt squeeky clean.
This photograph blew me away. I don't know if this shot was a result of careful preparation or if it was catching lightning in a bottle. In any case this is one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen captured on film.
The reflections off the water and rocks, the purple blue and orange hue's of the sky, and the pale blue ice make for one breathtaking photo. It's hard to believe that this view was captured on planet earth.
I am honestly trying to maintain my objectivity. I'm trying to find even the most minute flaw to fairly critic, but I simply can't.
I have no choice but to give this photo 5 stars across the board, this is a flawless piece. Whether it was a result of careful planning and preparation, or if it was just shot in the right place at the right time, it is one beautiful photograph.
When you just glance at the image you see ice on a rocky point with mountains and a sunset. But when you look closer you see amazing colors in the sky your restless self becomes peaceful while looking at the river stream pass by. And your eyes rest on the ice piece that lays there to take it all in. It almost makes you feel like you're the ice piece. It is very beautiful. It almost looks like it it could be computer animated of painted. But to see the it in person and look through it through a lens and take the image out of nature to share with everyone. Thank you.
This is mesmerizing. Have you thought of submitting your work in the National Geographic competitions they do monthly? I really do feel you'd have a chance to make the spread. Especially with work like this. There are a few pieces I've Favorited for several different artists that I feel when I have a house should be featured. This is one of them. In fact.. I'd have to center an entire room around this one shot.
Thank you very much. Yeah I have submitted a few shots to the Nat geo monthly competitions, not won anything yet, but I am trying. Thank you very much for the compliment.
