Been hoping to get the right conditions to take this photo, managed to get it right after midnight tonight ( 09.10.13 ) during the CME that hit.
Hope you like this. :)

Captured in Sørkjosen, Northern Norway.

The Aurora Borealis is stunning, you've captured the night sky so well! the stars look crisp and clear and the colours are fantastic! (I love that deep purple)

My eye is drawn fairly quickly to the light bar in the bottom left, which is very distracting. From what you have said in the comments, it is a piece of light artwork, unfortunately you can't tell that from the image itself, as it has no discernible form. It also seems to be producing a shadow(?) of some kind to the top right of it, which I think detracts from the aurora.

I like how you have included the trees, and the rock shelf which are both crisp and clear. They stop it from being just an image of the northern lights and make it a wonderful night scene.
What do you think?

I can hear alien 'gregorian' chants of twelve-seventytwo,
fading every one of them individually in and out, composed to the last bit, sequence, pitch and sound,
duration, attack, sustain, decay, just listen, there's nothing to say.
