Not far from where I live there is this beach where there always is waves no matter how the weather is, mostly cause of the rocky seafloor and the undercurrents.
Though the title would be befitting of the the cold we have up here at times.
Shot with nikon d800, 14-24mm f/2.8 @ 14 mm f.4, 30 seconds.
Deliberately lowered the temperature in post to bring forth even more cold ( from 4550 to 4100 ), and removed a couple of ambient lights to leave only the one orange strong light shining.
I like this photograph and it is better, by far, than anything I've ever done. The color and subject are amazing...and the work you did to eliminate the "extra" lights was very well done - I couldn't see any evidence of them in the posted image (although perhaps they are noticeable in the full size image).
The one thing I think might help emphasize the image title and possibly increase the impact of the image, though would be to bring the horizon line up just a bit in the frame. I think if you'd left more of the light's reflection in the water visible, it would give more a feel of "Land of the Ice Lords" rather than "Sky of the Ice Lords".
And don't get me wrong, I love your sky photos and this one is wonderful, too, but the land itself seems to be a frame for the broad skies, not the main focus of the image.
This is a beautiful picture that shows off its natural light and color. The image seems sharp to me. The detail obtained in this one shot is impeccably gorgeous. I can see a slight cross between night and day that makes the image seem even more beautiful. Everything looks to be perfectly syncopated into the picture. I personally think it is a fantastic moment that you have captured. The way you formatted and edited the picture is stunning, you gave the picture its natural beauty without giving it too much technological build. Great job and I could see this picture as a framed piece of work in someones home.

Anyway, just a thought. I still love the image.
