Hellish panorama to stitch together, been trying on and off on this image to get it together, finally made it after 4 hours of careful manipulating.
Image was so tricky due to the fast moving aurora and that my tripod dug into the snow on the second shot, out of 3.

Captured ontop of Kvænangsfjellet, troms, Northern Norway.
D800, 15mm, f2.8, iso 1600, 10 seconds.

The Spirit spells the magic with arms open wide,
spanning both horizons, it rains down to the ground,
Headphones on, in the crickle-crackle, there is a special sound,
melting with a fast pace rhythm, starting the skis, sliding down in a breeze.

Id say there are quite a bit of improvement done there, very nice. :)

I would still encourage you to not shoot a  F22, you incur defraction when the lens is so closed down (in general that means that the light hits the edges of the apperture rund and does not spread evenly across the sensor, resulting in less sharp/softer images), shoot with the lowest Fstop you can get.
When you are out there, look for some strong lights (distant house lights, streetlights, the moon or a bright star), use the center focusing point and focus right on those, if it is enough contrast the camera will focus on the lights even in pitch darkness, once you have the focus locked on you are set for the rest of the evening, and you can set it to manual mode so it does not autofocus. (but be sure to do a test shot first to see if it is really sharp.)

With that lens ( i recon 18mm is the lowest you can go ) 20 seconds or lower and you should avoid all star trailing, and if you do not have a remote shutter release use the cameras self timer so your hands are not touching the camera once the picture gets taken.

Just some small tips I think can help you improve even further.

You are certainly welcome. :)

In general the lenses are at their sharpest 2 stops above the lowest f stop you can go, so a 2.8 lens is usually at its sharpest at 5.6, at f22 you are just adding more depth to an image.

And also it is virtually impossible to take a aurora shot and get it exactly as seen, since your eyes see with about 25 stops of dynamic range and most pro cameras have not more than 13-14 stops dynamic range, this means you have to add a little bit of post processing to get to the finish line.

And lastly, you should not worry about the statement in your DeviantID box, they are already art. :)

Thank you for taking the time to give me tips.  I don't know alot about my camera.  I just been working on the setting for the slow shutter speed, the iso and been using my tripod :) Flynn: ... hi!

It is my pleasure.
You do not need to know everything about the camera to take great pictures, just enough so it gets the job you want done. :)

NOAA and NASA said we'd hit Solar Max sometime in 2014, but nothing major occurred, so either this cycle has been mild or it hasn't hit yet.

Supposedly this has been a solar maximum, but a very weak one compared to other ones, and the flare of 27. of February was a massive one, I did not get to see it due to the bad weather, but we have had some strong ones this cycle even it being quite weak.
