One of the first things I love about this photo is the atmosphere. It's got sort of a romance theme, but the way the rose is positioned and the dramatic lighting makes it a more depressing scene - therefore adding somewhat of a story. The dark purples and vibrants reds/oranges add to this as well!
I also like how the background seems almost like a spotlight to the foreground, with the lighter streak in the middle and all.
However, I think that the lighting could be better. The lights in the background are overexposed and distracting to the rose, and the rose/foreground is too dark to notice much detail. I feel like there's a major lack of detail.. perhaps you could've tried a little lower angle, and have the bokeh towards the middle/top of the photo so more focus would be on the rose. It's a very busy photo!
