Just to give a hint of how clear the sky was, a regular straightforward d800 jpg is around 20-22 mb, "Sugarsky" was 32 mb in size, this one at full size jpg is 49 mb.
Never seen as many stars so clearly in my life, and it made me feel very small.
This is such an amazing image, and I enjoyed it so much more because you gave the context and your thoughts about it. I voted for it in the light contest for this reason. Hope you win
Your photo has been chosen to go onto the Final voting stage for the Light Contest. You can find these polls on the main page of #SnazzyPhotography to the left hand side. (Feel free to vote but please do not vote for yourself or ask for votes.) Thank you for entering and I wish you the best of luck!
Your welcome and again good luck. I'm very super surprised that people are not taking more notice to yours, I thought for sure it would be in first or second place.. however most people are probably thinking that it's so good, they might want to give others a chance. I actually have not checked the voting polls yet today, just getting my motor started here.. it's going to be oh so fun to do everything today once the polls end. UGG haha But I really hope that yours has received more votes, because it sure does deserve it but if nothing else I'm sure that it will get a honorable mention.
