What The ....! by Trichardsen What The ....! by Trichardsen
Trichardsen // Tommy Richardsen // Facebook // flickr // 500px  // Google+

That figure on the right side is my brother furiously searching the beach for his lenscap :D
Luckily we did find it and he also managed to get a couple of shot of this amazingly strong aurora flare which lasted no more than 10 minutes from start to finish.

Captured in Steinsvik, Nordreisa, Troms, Northern Norway.
08.02.2014 - Nikon D800, Zeiss 15mm f2.8, Iso 1600, 3 seconds.
4 Vertical shots stiched into a panorama.

This is definitely one of my (very, very many) favorite aurora shots. Very beautiful colors, reflections and light. It's definitely one of my biggest dreams to be able to see this amazing phenomenon with my own eyes.

This image is gorgeous, there is no doubt about it! You captured the essence of scene flawlessly. The figure is slightly distracting, but not enough to pull my focus away from the beauty of the lights and the landscape surrounding him. I adore how the image seems to go on forever, it really brings the impact of the image to a 5 star level! The color and composition also make it seem like a whole different world, and almost surreal, I can only imagine what beauty it was to see in real life! Amazing work! Fantastic, fantastic job! Everyone should envy this image, because I know I do!

This picture is just mindblowing, i'm not kidding. You've really impressed me with this gorgeus picture and i love that we can see your friend being surrounded by the nature and the northern lights. It's funny to think about how small we are compared to other things out there. But with a single picture, like this one, you can tell a thousand words. All the stars, the big and small mountains in the background. It's amazing, how many small, but beautiful things can be placed in a single picture. And you sir, did it well. I've got no more words to decsribe this. But it's a shame that i haven't yet seen northern lights, but one day i will. I hope i have my camera with me when i do see the lights. Beautiful :)

In northern Norway yes, especially above the arctic circle.
